Setting up your products for Electronic Pre Advice and Customs Declarations

Overview

This guide explains how to set up HS codes and country of origin on your products in StoreFeeder so that Royal Mail and other couriers can process international customs declarations correctly.

Setting up customs fields on a product

Customs fields are available inside each product record. You can update them individually or in bulk via a product import.

1. Open the product you want to update in StoreFeeder.
2. Select the Shipping & Handling tab from the left-hand navigation inside the product.

1. Scroll to the customs section at the bottom of the Shipping & Handling tab. You will find fields for packaging size, quantity, HS code, and country of origin.

1. Enter the HS code for the product. Use the UK Trade Tariff to look up the correct code for each item.
2. Enter the country of origin where the product was manufactured.
3. Save the product.

To update multiple products at once, export your product list, fill in the HS code and country of origin columns, then re-import the file.
