Error: HS code is invalid

Cause

The error occurs when one or more products on the order have an invalid or missing HS (Harmonised System) code:

HS code is invalid - consignment.parcel.parcelProduct.productHarmonisedCode

Solution

1. Open each product on the affected order and verify the HS code is present and exactly 8 digits long.
2. Confirm the HS code is valid and in date by checking the government trade tariff website: https://www.trade-tariff.service.gov.uk/commodities/
3. Once the HS codes are corrected, retry despatching the order.
