Parcelforce: "Router Label Required" error
Overview
This article explains the "Router Label Required" message that can appear on Parcelforce labels when despatching through StoreFeeder.
Cause
For certain international destinations, Parcelforce uses their delivery partner GLS to complete the final delivery. When you request a Parcelforce label, StoreFeeder calls the Parcelforce API, which in turn calls GLS to generate a router label for the destination country. If the GLS API call fails, Parcelforce returns a label with the message "Router Label Required" instead of the GLS router label.
Solution
No changes are needed in StoreFeeder. The order is still valid and can be sent. Print both labels — the Parcelforce label and the "Router Label Required" label — and attach both to the package. Parcelforce will handle the routing on their end.
