Why are my tracking numbers not uploaded to Amazon?
Overview
This article explains why some Royal Mail tracking numbers are not sent to Amazon (and other marketplaces) and what your options are.
Cause
Royal Mail 24 and 48 are untracked services. Instead of a true tracking number, they issue a Delivery Confirmation Number (DCN), which is intended to give you as the seller proof of delivery. Intermediate scans are not guaranteed. Because of this, Amazon (and possibly eBay) may not accept the DCN as a valid tracking number, which can result in a VTR penalty. StoreFeeder makes sending the DCN optional for this reason.
Solution
Enable DCN sending
You can turn on DCN sending from your Amazon integration page in StoreFeeder.

If you are using the StoreFeeder Royal Mail direct integration to ship Amazon orders, enabling this setting is recommended — but be aware your VTR may be affected if parcels are not scanned on delivery.
Use Amazon Buy Shipping
Amazon's recommendation is to purchase shipping through Amazon Buy Shipping, as those labels are automatically classed as valid tracking. See the Amazon VTR article for more detail on this approach.
