Mapping Variant Attributes

Overview

This article explains how variant attribute mapping works in StoreFeeder and how to create custom mappings for a channel.

Default mappings

By default, StoreFeeder maps variant attributes by name — for example, a Size attribute on the channel is mapped to a variant attribute named Size in StoreFeeder.

The screen below shows the default mappings. Most customers can use these without any changes.

Creating custom mappings

If you want to map attributes differently, select the variant attribute set in the left column (these are the attribute options from the channel) and then choose the StoreFeeder attribute you want to map it to from the Variant Attribute column.

Your custom mappings replace the default mappings for the selected attributes. The example below shows Size mapped to Item Packaging Quantity on channel.
