Overview
eBay item specifics are descriptive keywords - such as brand, length, or style - that give buyers more detail about a product and help eBay match listings to relevant searches. Completing as many specifics as possible improves your listing's visibility.
Adding item specifics to a listing
- Open the eBay listing in StoreFeeder and select Category & Item Specifics.

- Add your primary categories first - item specific options do not appear until categories are set.
- Complete the required item specifics (shown in bold with a star). Use the Mapping Field column to pull values from your product data automatically.
In the example below, height, length, and width have been mapped from the product, which has populated the Value column.

- You can also set a value directly using the value dropdown.

- Complete any recommended and optional item specifics in the same way.

- Scroll to the bottom of the page to add your own custom item specifics with a name of your choice.

Updating item specifics in bulk
Item specifics map to custom attributes in the product export.
- Export your products and update the relevant custom attribute columns.
- Re-import the product file.
- Export your listings (default fields only).

- Re-import the listing file using Import (update existing). Set Update to Channel to On.

This triggers an inventory update to channel and pushes your updated item specifics to eBay.
