Overview

This article explains what the eBay Listing Template feature does, how to create a template, and how to apply it to your listings.

Before you begin

You need at least basic HTML knowledge to create a listing template, or access to someone who does.

Creating a template

Design an HTML file for your eBay listing description using the following tokens, which pull information from your StoreFeeder listings:

  • eBay title - {{title}}
  • eBay subtitle - {{subtitle}}
  • eBay description - {{description}}
  • Product description - {{productdescription}}
  • Custom label - {{sku}}
  • Product RRP - {{rrp}}
  • Product price - {{price}}
  • Amount saved (RRP - Price) - {{amountsaved}}
  • Percentage saved - {{percentagesaved}}
  • EAN - {{ean}}
  • UPC - {{upc}}
  • Product SKU - {{sku}}
  • Product weight - {{weight}}
  • Brand - {{brand}}
  • Custom attribute name - {{customattributename}}
  • Product images - {{imageurl*}} where * is the image ID

Tip: You can create multiple templates per eBay channel.

Once your template is ready, go to Settings > Your Integrations, find your eBay channel, and select Edit/View Integration. In the left-hand menu, choose eBay Listing Template, then select + New Listing Template in the top right.

Give your template a name, select the HTML file you created, and select + Add Template.

Applying your template

There are three ways to apply a listing template.

Warning: Templates are not applied automatically. You must apply a template manually each time you create a new listing, regardless of which method you use.

Applying to a single listing

  1. Open the listing in StoreFeeder and go to the Description section on the left.
  2. Scroll to the eBay Template option and select your template from the dropdown.
  3. Save your changes.

Applying to all existing templated listings

Warning: This updates every listing that already has a template applied. This cannot be reversed.

  1. On the eBay Listings page, find your template and select Edit Template.
  2. Enable Link ALL eBay/Templated products to this template.
  3. Select Save & Update Listings.

Applying in bulk via Listing Import/Export

Export the eBay Template field from the Listing Import/Export feature and enter the template name against each listing you want to update. Re-import the file to apply the changes in bulk.
