Amazon VTR
Overview
This article covers common causes of Amazon VTR (Valid Tracking Rate) issues and how to resolve them in StoreFeeder.
Courier code or name not displaying correctly in Amazon
Using an integrated courier
Amazon requires a Carrier Code, Carrier Name, and Shipping Method alongside the tracking number for tracking to be counted as valid.
StoreFeeder sends the correct Carrier Code and Carrier Name for the following integrated couriers:
- APC Overnight
- DHL
- DPD
- DX Freight
- FedEx
- Parcelforce
- Royal Mail
For the Shipping Method, StoreFeeder sends the name of the shipping method on the order. If your shipping method name is not accepted by Amazon, you can set a specific override value:
- Go to Settings > Shipping > Shipping Methods and open the relevant method.
- Enter the exact value you want to send to Amazon in the override field midway down the page.

Warning: StoreFeeder cannot advise on which values Amazon accepts or rejects. Refer to Amazon's VTR FAQ in Seller Central for guidance.
Using a non-integrated courier via a custom integration
For couriers StoreFeeder does not directly integrate with, the default values sent are Carrier Code: Other and Carrier Name: non-integrated carrier.
To send specific carrier information:
- Open the relevant shipping method.
- Enable Use Override Carrier Information.
- Enter your custom carrier code and carrier name.

Warning: If you use a carrier code that Amazon does not support, shipping updates to Amazon can stop working. Use
Otheras the Carrier Code for unsupported carriers and enter the courier name in the Carrier Name field. For a list of valid carrier codes, see the Valid Carrier Codes for Amazon article.
Tracking shows as invalid despite correct courier information
Using the direct Royal Mail integration
Royal Mail 24 and Royal Mail 48 services use delivery confirmation numbers rather than full tracking numbers, which means tracking is only confirmed on the final delivery scan. If that scan is missed, Amazon marks the tracking as invalid.
Amazon currently recommends purchasing labels for these services (CRL) via Buy Shipping. Labels purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping are counted as valid regardless of missed scans.
StoreFeeder integrates directly with Amazon Buy Shipping (Amazon Logistics), which can be used for all Amazon orders, not just Prime orders.
- Add your Royal Mail account to Amazon. Royal Mail provides a setup FAQ for connecting RM services via Amazon Buy Shipping.
- Set up the Amazon Logistics integration in StoreFeeder. See the Amazon Buy Shipping integration setup guide for instructions.
