StoreFeeder App - Stock Take
Overview
This guide covers the two parts of the Stock Take function in the StoreFeeder app: performing a physical stock count and approving the results.

Stock Take
Because of the way the StoreFeeder picking function works, if you use the app to pick orders you can carry out stock checks without stopping your staff from picking.
When creating a stock take, choose the type from the dropdown menus. There are nine types available:
Type | Description |
|---|---|
System led | Directs you to a random stock location and a product within it. |
Pickwave stock problem | Automatically created when a picker reports a stock issue in a location during picking, so you can quickly verify that location. |
Best selling products | Focuses on the highest-selling products based on the last 30 days. |
Manual search | You decide what to check — all SKUs in one location, or all locations for one SKU. You select both the location and the product. |
System led (location) | Directs you to a random stock location. |
System led (reverse) | Randomly selects locations and products from the lowest-ordered location first (using stock location order). |
Unsold products | Points you to products that have not been ordered in the last 6 months. |
Fast selling products | Returns products to check based on recent order quantity over the last 7 days relative to remaining stock. |
System led (date) | Suggests products ordered by the time since their last stock take. |
The counting process is the same regardless of type.
If you use the Multiple Stock Locations add-on, the check applies to the specified stock location only, not total stock across all locations.

You see the SKU and location — the current stock level is intentionally hidden. Count the stock and enter the quantity (or use the + / - buttons), or scan individual items to increment the count.
When the count is complete, tap Submit to send it to the StoreFeeder system for approval.
Tip: Carton barcodes work on this page, so you can scan full cartons when counting.
Stock Take Approval
After a stock check is submitted, all submissions appear on the Stock Take Approval page — accessible in the app or in the main system.
In the main system: Go to Warehouse > Stock Locations Overview > Stock Take Approval.

The page shows the user, SKU, and counted quantity compared to the system figure at the time of the check. Rows highlighted in red mean the counted stock was less than what the system shows — treat these as urgent, as you may have fewer items available for sale than expected.
Select Approve to apply the relative adjustment (+ or -) to stock in that location, or Reject to discard the check so the user can repeat it.
In the app: The same details are shown. In the example below, user "StoreFeeder ABC" checked SKU "613377" in location "BULK 1", counted 159 units, while the system showed 164 — a potential discrepancy of -5.

Tap the green tick to approve and adjust the stock by -5 units. Tap the red cross to reject the check with no change.
All approvals are recorded with the time, date, and approving user for traceability. The full report is at Reports > Products > Stock Take Approvals Report.
Note: Only Administrator users can access the Stock Take Approvals page and validate stock checks.
