Overview

This guide explains how to configure Honeywell scanners to work with the StoreFeeder WMS app. These instructions were followed on a Honeywell EAD51 but may apply to other models.

Configuring the scanner

  1. Open the Settings app on the scanner and select Honeywell Settings.

  6. Back out of all screens to the profile selection to ensure the values are saved.

Completing the setup in the app

Open the StoreFeeder WMS app and go to Menu > Settings > On Device Scanner Configuration > I have updated the settings.

Tap I'm ready to scan and scan the barcode 12345678. If successful, a message appears at the bottom of the screen: "Scanner configured successfully".

To verify, go to Products from the slide-in menu and scan a product barcode. The app should populate the search field and perform the search without you needing to tap the screen or tap Search.

Troubleshooting

  • If the scan is not successful, check in Data Processing Settings that the prefix and suffix are both empty. Values in these fields are appended to the scanned barcode and cause a mismatch when the app queries StoreFeeder.
  • If a particular barcode type is not scanning, go to the StoreFeeder profile and open Symbology Settings. Ensure the relevant barcode type is enabled. You can also click a barcode type to configure options such as Send Check Digit, which may need to be set.
