Scanner Configuration - Datalogic Scanners

Overview

This article explains how to configure a Datalogic scanner for use with the StoreFeeder WMS app. These steps are based on a Datalogic Memor 1 and have been tested on the Memor 10. They may apply to other Datalogic models.

Before you begin

Ensure the StoreFeeder WMS app is installed on your device.

Configure the Datalogic scanner

1. From the device home screen, open Settings > System > Scanner settings > Wedge.

2. Set the following options:

   Setting	Value
   Enable keyboard wedge	Off
   Enable intent wedge	On
   Intent output	Enabled
   Intent delivery	Broadcast intent
   Intent action	com.sf.barcode.action
   Intent category	com.sf.barcode.category
   Intent extra barcode string (if present)	barcode

3. Return to the Scanner settings page and select Commit to save the changes. Changes are not saved automatically.

Link the scanner to StoreFeeder

1. Open the StoreFeeder WMS app and go to Settings > On Device Scanner Configuration > I have updated the settings.
2. Select I'm ready to scan and scan barcode 12345678. A message at the bottom of the screen confirms Scanner configured successfully.

Troubleshooting

To verify the configuration, go to Products from the main menu and scan a barcode. The search field should populate and search automatically without you needing to tap the screen or press Search.
