Splitting a Kit Product Order
Overview
This article explains how to configure kit product order display options in StoreFeeder and how to split out-of-stock component products into separate orders.
Configuring kit product order display
- Go to Products > Manage Products and filter for kit products using the product type drop-down.

- Hover over the SKU and select Edit.

- Select the Additions and Swaps tab and locate the Display kit product on Order toggle.

Display kit product on order — Yes
The kit product is visible on the order alongside its component products. You cannot split component products into new orders.

Display kit product on order — No
The kit product is not visible on the order, but you can split component products into new orders.

You can see each component product's setting on the overview:

If at least one component product is set to No, the kit product is hidden from orders and components can be split. If all components are set to Yes, delete one and re-add it with the toggle set to No.
Splitting out-of-stock orders
- Go to Orders > Manage Orders and find the order containing the out-of-stock kit component. The order status should be Pending - Waiting Part Stock.
- Scroll to the Items Ordered section. The component products are listed there.
- Use the checkboxes to select the products you want to split, then select Split into New Order and confirm.

The selected products move to a new order ready for fulfilment. The original order retains the components that were not split.
