Bulk inventory update by spreadsheet

  1. Go to Products > Bulk Inventory Update.
  1. Select Select File... and choose your spreadsheet from your computer.
  1. Map the columns in your spreadsheet to the matching fields in StoreFeeder (SKU to SKU, Inventory to Inventory), then select Confirm Mappings.
  1. Choose an Import Type:

    • Absolute — Sets stock to the value in the import file. For example: 10 in StoreFeeder, import file shows 4, stock after update is 4.
    • Adjustment — Adds the import file value to the current stock. For example: 10 in StoreFeeder, import file shows 4, stock after update is 14.
  2. Select Confirm Import.

A confirmation message appears when the import is complete.

Note: If your SKUs contain a leading zero (e.g. 0123456), Excel may strip it. To preserve leading zeros, wrap the SKU as ="0123456". Save the file as .xls format.

Updating inventory by SKU

  1. On the Bulk Inventory Update page, select the Update By SKU tab.
  2. Select an Adjustment Type (Absolute or Adjustment).
  3. Search for the SKU you want to update. Tick the box next to the item, enter the inventory value in the New Inventory column, and add a Reason if needed.
  4. Select Update.

Adjusting stock on the product

On a product's General tab, enter the new inventory level in the Inventory field and select Save.

Performing stock adjustments on an individual product

  1. Open the product and select the Adjustments tab.

You can view recent adjustments and make new ones. The two main adjustment types are:

Manual Relative Adjustment

Adds or subtracts the specified quantity from the current stock level. For a variant product, select the variation SKU from the drop-down.

Enter the Adjustment Amount and an optional Reason. The New Inventory column shows the result before you save. Select Save Adjustment to apply.

Example: Current stock is 43. A relative adjustment of 10 sets stock to 53. The adjustment column shows +10.

To remove stock, enter a negative adjustment amount.

Manual Absolute Adjustment

Sets stock to the exact quantity you specify.

Example: Current stock is 10. An absolute adjustment of 5 sets stock to 5.
