Overview
This article explains how to create a variation product in StoreFeeder, including adding variant attributes, creating child variants, and completing the product with descriptions, images, and custom attributes.
Creating the variant product
- Log into StoreFeeder and go to Manage Products.

- Select the green New Product button.

- Enter the Product SKU if you use your own SKUs (StoreFeeder generates one automatically if you leave this blank). Enter the Product Name and set the Product Type to Variant Product.
- Select the first Variant Attribute from the drop-down (for example, colour) and choose a Default Value (for example, green).
- Select Create.

Adding variant attributes
- Select the green New Variant Attribute button.

- In the Add Variant Attribute window, select the next attribute and its default value, then select New Variant Attribute. Repeat for all attributes your product needs.

Adding variants
- Select Add New Variant.

- For each variant, enter the Price, Inventory, Weight, Pick Bin (if applicable), and select the Attribute Values. StoreFeeder generates a SKU automatically, or you can enter your own.

Entering general product information
On the General tab, enter:
- Inventory, Price, and RRP
- Tax Class and whether the Price Includes VAT
- Weight and Warehouse location
- Manufacturer name
- EAN and UPC (for barcode scanning)
The tick boxes next to fields allow them to be linked to child products, so any change here applies to all variants.
Select Save when done.

Adding a product description
- Select Description from the left-hand menu.
- Enter your product description. Switch to the HTML tab to enter HTML directly.
- Select Save.

Adding product images
- Select Images from the left-hand menu, then select New Image.

- Select the image file from your computer. StoreFeeder supports JPG, GIF, and PNG formats.

- When the image name appears in a green box, select Upload.

- A confirmation message appears. Use the Variant Attribute drop-down to assign the image to specific attributes or to all variants. Select Save.
To add more images, repeat the process.

Adding additional information
On the Additional Information tab you can set:
- Manufacturer Part Number and Additional Barcodes
- Pick Bin location
- Manual Re-Order Level and Calculated Re-Order Level
- Package Size and Packaging Quantity

Adding custom attributes
Scroll to the Product Attribute section.
- Select New Custom Attribute, enter the attribute name, and select Add Custom Attribute.

- Select Add One Now.

- Choose the attribute from the drop-down, enter a value in the Value field, and select Save.

Once the product is created, you can list it on your sales channels such as eBay and Amazon.
