Go Live
Overview
This article covers the go live process — switching StoreFeeder on so it manages all your multichannel selling operations.
Before you begin
The following steps must be completed before going live:
- Integrating Sales Platforms
- Creating Products
- Mapping Listings
- Integrating Couriers / Entering product shipping information
- Creating Shipping Methods, Regions and Rules for Orders
- Testing
- Training
Additional requirements:
- Inventory levels in StoreFeeder must be as accurate as possible.
- Products must have the relevant shipping information stored against them.
Before executing the go live process, speak with your onboarder to establish an appropriate plan of action.
The go live process
1. Turn off order import for all sales channels
This stops orders from importing into StoreFeeder, keeping your stock levels static while you finalise inventory.
2. Update stock levels
Ensure stock levels are correct in StoreFeeder. This is typically done via a spreadsheet import.
- To export your inventory file, refer to the How to use the Product Import/Export Feature guide.
- Once you have updated your file, refer to the How to Adjust Inventory Levels in StoreFeeder guide to import it.
Note: You can use an external file, but it may need reformatting before StoreFeeder can read it. Check with your onboarder if unsure.
3. Turn on update options for all sales channels
For each sales channel, enable the relevant options under Order processing and Stock Management:
Order processing:
- Import Orders — starts importing orders from the channel into StoreFeeder
- Send Despatch Notifications — marks orders as despatched on the channel once despatched in StoreFeeder
- Ignore Channel Tax — determines whether StoreFeeder or the sales channel calculates order tax
- Merge Orders — merges orders with the same shipping method, customer details, order status, and warehouse
Stock management:
- Automatic Inventory Updates — pushes inventory figures from StoreFeeder out to your sales channels
- Automatic Price Updates — pushes prices from StoreFeeder out to your sales channels
- Automatic Listings Download — ensures all listings created on channel are downloaded into StoreFeeder
- Upload Listings — allows StoreFeeder to upload and update your listings on channel
Once these options are enabled, StoreFeeder is in full control and ready to use. Proceed to the Early Life Support & End of Onboarding step.
