Restricting Access by IP Address
Overview
IP Address Restrictions let admin users limit access to StoreFeeder based on source IP address. For example, you can allow access only from your office or warehouse IP addresses and block access from other locations.
Before you begin
Contact StoreFeeder Support to activate the IP Address Restrictions feature on your account. You must be an admin user to configure it.
Set up IP address restrictions
- Go to Settings > Security > IP Addresses and Locations.

- If no IP addresses are listed, add your current location first. This should be the office or a shared location where all users access StoreFeeder from.
- Enter a name for the location and click Add my IP Address.

The IP address is added to the authorised locations list.

You can toggle locations on and off, or delete them at any time.
- Switch Enable IP Address Checks - Online and Mobile to Yes.
Users can now log in from authorised IP addresses. Any login attempt from an unauthorised IP shows this message:

Review and approve IP address requests
When a user tries to log in from an unauthorised IP, they can submit a request by adding a description of their location and clicking Send Request.
Admin users see pending requests on the same IP Addresses and Locations page under Pending Request to Add an IP Address.

Approving a request adds the IP address to the authorised list.
Exempt individual users from IP restrictions
For users who travel or work remotely, you can disable IP restrictions on a per-user basis.
- Go to Settings > Company > Users and select the relevant user.
- Click the User Permissions tab.
- Set Is this user exempt from IP address restrictions? to Yes.
- Click Save.

That user is no longer restricted by IP address.
