Overview
This article explains how to configure Gmail to work with StoreFeeder's email sending feature.
Note: From September 2024, Gmail no longer supports SMTP connections. StoreFeeder now supports direct Gmail authorisation via OAuth. See the Email Settings article for instructions on using the Google authorisation option instead.
Before you begin
If you are still using SMTP with Gmail, ensure the following:
- Your Gmail credentials in StoreFeeder match your current Gmail username and password. If you recently changed your Gmail password, update it in StoreFeeder under Settings > Email Configuration > Email Settings.
- If you have 2-factor authentication enabled on your Gmail account, this can prevent StoreFeeder from connecting. Consider using the OAuth authorisation method (Google email type) instead.
