Why has stock been deallocated from an order and allocated to another and I can't find the original order?
Overview
This article explains why stock may appear to be deallocated from one order and reallocated to another, and why the original order cannot be found.
Cause
This behaviour occurs when Import Unpaid Orders is enabled on one or more of your channel integrations.
When a customer places an unpaid order, StoreFeeder imports it immediately and reserves (allocates) stock against it. When the customer pays, the channel sends a new paid order. StoreFeeder then deletes the original unpaid order and imports the paid one — deallocating stock from the unpaid order and allocating it to the paid one.
This is expected behaviour designed to reduce oversells by reserving stock for pending orders.
Fix
No action is required. If you cannot find the original order, it has been replaced by the paid order. Search by customer name or channel order ID to locate the new order.
