Preventing New Orders Being Placed on Channels

Overview

This article explains how to temporarily prevent new orders from being placed on your sales channels — sometimes referred to as Holiday Mode.

What's this Guide For?

A situation may arise where you wish to temporarily disallow orders on your various seller platforms. You'll find that most platforms have the option to make this a reality but unfortunately the option to do so is something we are unable to do through StoreFeeder.

What we can do though is provide guidence as to where's best to go when attempting to close off your store temporarily; please find below a list of links that will do just that.

Marketplaces

For both eBay and Amazon you can quickly enable 'Holiday Mode' to prevent any new orders being made.

Webstores

For webstores you'll need to but your site in maintenance where possible:

If you are other other web store platforms you may wish to contact your provider or web developer for information on how to enable maintenance mode or you can set the inventory to 0 use the max inventory in StoreFeeder to make sure your listings cannot be bought but that your inventory in StoreFeeder remains correct.
