Listing Specific Inventory Settings
Overview
This article explains the listing-specific inventory settings in StoreFeeder that let you control what stock value is shown on a channel listing, independently of your actual product inventory.
Inventory display settings
Max Inventory — Sets a cap on the inventory shown on the listing regardless of actual stock. For example, if you set Max Inventory to 5 but have 10 in StoreFeeder, the listing shows 5. Once your actual stock drops below 5, the true inventory is shown.
Oversell — Lets you show more inventory than you physically have. Useful when you have a reliable supplier and can fulfil quickly, or to keep a listing live when temporarily out of stock.
Out-of-stock threshold — Marks the listing as out of stock on the channel once your StoreFeeder inventory reaches this value. For example, setting this to 5 means StoreFeeder sends 0 stock to the channel when your inventory hits 5, reducing oversell risk.
Inventory type settings
You can also control where the inventory figure comes from:
Inventory + Oversell — Uses your product inventory plus your oversell amount.
Inventory + Oversell + Priority Supplier Inventory — Uses your product inventory, oversell amount, and the inventory of your priority supplier set on the product.
Inventory + Oversell + Sum Of Suppliers Inventory — Uses your product inventory, oversell amount, and the combined inventory of all your suppliers.
You can then set a percentage of the selected inventory type to use on the listing. For example, set 50% to show only half of your available stock on a particular channel.
