Overview

This article explains how to create a new Amazon listing from scratch in StoreFeeder for a unique product.

Before you begin

The product must already exist in StoreFeeder before you can list it. If you need to add a barcode, use the barcode manager. Barcodes can be purchased from www.gs1uk.org.

Create an Amazon listing

  1. Open the product you want to list and go to the Listings tab.
  2. Select New Listing.
  1. Select Amazon as the channel.
  1. Select Create a New Product.

You are now on the General information page.

  1. Set Third Party Listing to No.
  2. Select the Category/Product Type from the dropdown and confirm the product name. The Name and Listing SKU are taken from the product automatically.
  3. Leave the ASIN field empty — it is generated on upload.
  4. Enter a valid Barcode (EAN). Amazon requires this for upload. If you have barcodes in the barcode manager, select Autofill.
  5. Enter the product Brand and Manufacturer.
  6. Select whether the product is Fulfilled By Amazon.
  7. Set the Condition and any Condition Notes.
  8. Optionally configure Max Inventory, Oversell, Out Of Stock Threshold, and Handling Time (see descriptions below).

Inventory field descriptions

Max Inventory — Sets the maximum inventory value shown on the listing regardless of actual stock. For example, if you set Max Inventory to 5 but have 10 in StoreFeeder, the listing shows 5. Once your stock drops below 5, the true inventory is shown.

Oversell — Lets you show more inventory than you physically have. Useful when you have a reliable supplier and can fulfil quickly, or to keep a listing live when temporarily out of stock.

Out Of Stock Threshold — Ends the listing when your StoreFeeder inventory reaches this value.
