How to map your The Range listings

The Range does not provide a method for downloading your listings via their API.

To get round this limitation, StoreFeeder will automatically create an inactive listing for each of your products where the listing SKU and product SKU are identical.

You can find these listings by going to the listing overview, filtering by your "The Range" channel and setting the controlled by storefeeder filter to "no".

Due to this The Range does not follow our standard mapping procedure, please read further how to manage these inactive listings so that we can inventory control your listings on the range.

This process WILL NOT create new listings on channel, it will only inventory control existing listings on channel after mapping.

Scenario 1: My channel SKU's match my Listing SKU's

If your SKU's on The Range match your product SKU's then all you need do is change the listing record in StoreFeeder from Inactive to Active.

This can be done either on a per listing basis by setting the "Controlled by StoreFeeder" toggle to true.

Or you can do this in bulk using our listing import/export processes with the following fields:

  • Listing ID (Read only) - preticked
  • Product SKU (Read only) - preticked
  • Listing SKU - preticked
  • Controlled by StoreFeeder

Download the file and set the "Controlled by StoreFeeder" column to be true an on any listings you wish to manage. Save the file, then import that file back in using the Listing Import.

Scenario 2: My Channel SKU's are different to my product SKU's?

If your channel SKU's differ to your product SKU's, then the process has a few more steps. You will be using the listing import export to do this.

  • Download an inventory report from The Range seller portal to give you a file to use as the basis of a mapping file to map your channel SKU's to your product SKU's.
  • Perform a listing export from StoreFeeder with the 3 pre-ticked fields as above and also "Controlled By StoreFeeder".
  • In the listing export file, cross refernce against the inventory report you downloaded from The Range.
  • Amend the listing SKU in the listing export file you exported from StoreFeeder to be match the correct channel SKU from the inventory report you downloaded from The Range
  • Set "Controlled by StoreFeeder" to be true for any listings you wish to manage
  • Save the modified listing export file with the updated listing SKU's and control information
  • Perform a listing import using the now modified listing export file to update your listings in StoreFeeder.

You are also able to do the above on a per listing basis by amending the listing SKU and setting the "Controlled by StoreFeeder" toggle to true on the listing page and clicking save.
