Scanner Configuration - Unitech Scanners

This guide was written using a Unitech EA660, but should apply to all Unitech scanners

The scanner settings for Unitech devices can be found in the device settings, under Enterprise Features.

First, go to the USS Profile Management section.

Here you will see a Default profile. Use the + button at the bottom of the screen to create a new profile. You can name it anything you like, for convenience we suggest StoreFeeder.

Tap the profile to open the details page, and ensure that it is Enabled. Next, press App Associations.

Use the + button at the bottom of the screen to open the list of applications on the device, and select the StoreFeeder app.

Return to the previous screen and go into App Settings, then copy the settings exactly from the following two images:

Scan to Key should be disabled

Intent Convey is Broadcast Intent Action is com.sf.barcode.action

Intent Category is com.sf.barcode.category

Intent Extra should be cleared of any value

Finally, return to the profile details screen and go to Append Settings, and ensure that the Terminator value is empty. All other values can be left as their defaults.

Go into the StoreFeeder WMS app. From the slide in menu select Settings -> On Device Scanner Configuration -> I have updated the settings.

Click "I'm ready to scan" and scan barcode 12345678. If successful a message will appear at the bottom of the screen "Scanner configured successfully".

An ideal test is to go to Products from the slide in main menu and scan a barcode. You should not have to touch the screen or click Search. The barcode scan will populate the search field and perform the search.
