The new Insights Engine
Overview
The Insights Engine lets you extract data from StoreFeeder using a set of predefined, database-driven reports. You can download results as an Excel spreadsheet or explore them visually using the Visualisations feature.
Access the Insights Engine
Select Insights from the left-hand menu in the V3 interface.
Navigate the interface
Reports list
The Reports list on the left shows all available reports, grouped by section. Because the engine is database-driven, new reports are added to this section as they are released.
Filter and sort
Once you select a report, the Filter & Sort panel shows all filters and sort options for that report. These options change depending on the report you have chosen.
Document preview
The Document Preview panel shows the first 10 rows of results based on your current filters. The columns shown change depending on the report selected.
Use the date picker
Select the calendar icon to open the date selector. You can scroll through months and years and manually pick a start and end date, or use a pre-made filter.
To use a pre-made filter, select the lightning bolt icon to open the filter picker.
Select the range you want (for example, Year to date). The date picker updates to show your selected range.
Generate and download a report
Once your date range and filters are set, select the
button to run the report. The preview section populates and the Download Report button shows the total number of rows.

button to download the full data as an Excel spreadsheet. - To view your data as a graph instead, select the
button to open the Visualisations page. See the Visualisations guide for details on how to use this feature.
